Toni Sweeney is the Vice President Human Resources for the North America region and corporate locations of Patheon. Patheon is a leading contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) of pharmaceutical products. Ms. Sweeney leads regional human resources activities for the Company and also supports a global business unit of 6000 employees for the company’s Drug Products Services (DPS) division. This division covers 11 sites in the mainland US, Puerto Rico, Canada, Italy, France, the Netherlands and the UK.

Toni began her career with Patheon as a leader of Human Resources for the Cincinnati manufacturing and development site. In 2012 she was promoted to Vice President Global Talent Management where she developed and implemented the first Global Talent programs for Patheon. In 2016 her responsibilities further expanded to include regional and global support of the Company’s largest business division.

Toni is passionate about developing future leadership talent and annually mentors several emerging female leaders in addition to developing strong site based HR teams and providing leadership and counsel to her business unit leadership team. Having been mentored by a strong leader for more than 15 years, Toni feels a mentor’s involvement in helping individuals to map and take ownership of their development is absolutely key to their success.

Toni is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications. She holds a certification in paralegal studies and recently became certified in the application and assessment of Hogan tools. Toni is a mother to three wonderful children – Drew, Paige and Jack.
