Kim is a Member of the firm and the firm-wide Director of Diversity & Inclusion. She reports directly to the firm’s CEO and is responsible for the firms diversity & inclusion initiatives. She also works closely with Steve Ellcessor, Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee to lead our initiatives and measure results. Kim has held the position of Director of Diversity & Inclusion since 2006. She no longer has a billable hour requirement for the firm so that her full attendtion can be given to fostering a more inclusive environment at the firm.
Kim works closeley with firm leadership to institute behavioral practices and initiatives that will minimize the impact of unconscious bias and promote the retention and advancement of our people. Specificially, Kim works closely with members of the Executive Committee, Advancement Committee, Compensation Committee, Practice Group Leaers, Department Chairs and the Recruiting Committee to promote a more inclusive environment.
As the Director of Diversity & Inclusion, Kim also collaborates with numerous corporate clients on improving their internal diversity and inclusion initiatives. In this capacity, she is able to share best practices with our clients and create unique initiatives that bring together our firm and our clients on shared goals connected to diversity and inclusion.
Kim is also responsible for firm-wide inclusion training – a live 2.5 hour session – conducted for all firm employees. She also facilitates the firm’s inclusion workshops, which are periodic training sessions tied to unique topics for learning beyond the firm’s formal training program.
