Dr. Gore is the Chief Diversity Officer and Associate Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Community Engagement at The University of Toledo (UT). She leads the diversity training efforts of the faculty and staff through the Culture Building Institute at the University of Toledo and works with leadership across campuses to assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans, policies, proposals, programs and operating procedures to support UT Diversity initiatives. She is responsible for creating and directing the UT Minority Business Development Center and serves as the Executive Director for the UT Eberly Center for Women.

Dr. Gore teaches, mentors both undergraduate and graduate students. She also serves as a dissertation committee member for graduate students needing an expert in the area of diversity. She has been recognized as an African American Legacy Emerging Leader of Excellence and is a Toledo Urban Federal Credit Union Community Appreciation Award winner. She serves as the President of the Ohio Diversity Officers Collaborative and a member of the Toledo Zoo. She has been published and presented at competitive conferences such as the Annual Meeting of the Higher Learning Commission, the Association of American Medical Colleges, the National Diversity Council Leadership Conference, and the Annual National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education.

Dr. Gore is a graduate of Bowling Green State University. She received a Bachelor of Communications degree and a Master’s of Communication with a study emphasis on minority communities in the Greater Toledo Ohio area. Dr. Gore earned a Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies and her research area was involvement behaviors and minority medical student retention.
