John J. Davis is a retail operations leader in the highly complex retail industry. John spent more than 30 years in leadership roles in a variety of large, small, domestic and international business organizations including Meijer and Walmart. John has served as the president and CEO of Maximart Inc., a startup E-commerce company, by providing strategic & tactical leadership. His broad retail, sales and hospitality experience, is followed by a record of great performance, a visionary leadership approach, and passion for success to achieve best results.

John is involved in many diverse community organizations and events, including The Black Enterprise Entrepreneur Conference, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Breakfast, Urban League, Ohio After School All Stars, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, American Red Cross, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and Cleveland Clinic Foundation. John currently serves as a member of Ohio Diversity Council Board of Directors.

John’s other ambitions include the development of an ethnic and cultural diverse workforce, and building an inclusive work environment as a key factor to success. He believes in giving back to the community to make a difference in throughout the world. John is a three times Presidential Volunteer Service award recipient from The White House. A gold medalist athlete in fencing, marathon runner, and martial artist, John drives a key commitment in creating winning teamwork and motivation.

John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business, in Columbus, Ohio. He also received a web designer diploma from The Penn Foster College and has also completed courses from Harvard Graduate School, MIT, and Berkley for leadership, business transformation, supply chain and innovation. Currently, John is working to finish his M.B.A.
