Danielle Johnson

Dr. Johnson completed her General Psychiatry Residency and Psychiatric Emergency Services Chief Residency with University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and University Hospital in Cincinnati. As a staff psychiatrist for Lindner Center of HOPE, Dr. Johnson’s interests include treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and ADHD in the inpatient and outpatient settings.

She contributed to the development of the Women’s Mental Health Program and currently serves as director of this program. Dr. Johnson is a member of the Marce’ Society for Perinatal Mental Health, and Postpartum Support International. She is included in the MedEdPPD.org Provider Network after completing training in the assessment and treatment of postpartum mental illnesses.

Dr. Johnson has earned many honors, including official recognition for demonstrating exceptional service at University Hospital, two travel scholarships to attend APA Annual Meetings, The Van Buren O. Hammett Memorial Award for Outstanding Performance in Psychiatry from Drexel University College of Medicine, and several other academic achievements.

Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Association for Women Psychiatrists. In December 2013, the Board of Trustees of the American Psychiatric Association approved Dr. Johnson for Fellow status, reflecting her dedication to the work of the APA and the psychiatric profession. She also serves on the Membership Committee and Ethics Committee for the Ohio Psychiatric Physicians Association. She is on the Board of Directors of NAMI Hamilton County.

Dr. Johnson has presented on the topics of women’s and minority mental health issues.
