Sara Knapke is the Clinical Manager and a Licensed Genetic Counselor in the Division of Human Genetics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She attended the University of Cincinnati Genetic Counseling Graduate Program and earned a Master of Science degree in Human Genetics. After graduating from UC, Sara worked at multiple community hospitals in the Greater Cincinnati area providing both prenatal and hereditary cancer risk counseling. She has been in the Hereditary Cancer Program at CCHMC since 2007 and, in addition to providing adult hereditary cancer risk counseling, founded the Pediatric Hereditary Cancer Predisposition Program in 2009. She is also currently involved as the Co-Chair of the Cancer Special Interest Group of the National Society of Genetic Counselors.
