Christy Demetrakis

Christy Demetrakis is President and founder of The Empowered Speaker, a communication skills training company. She offers public workshops and customized on-site programs for companies and organizations to improve their public speaking and presentation skills. Christy’s partial list of clients includes Procter & Gamble, the American Association of Women Dentists, University of Arkansas, University of Cincinnati, Starfire University, Cincinnati Public Schools and Hixson. She has served as a speaker at the Toastmasters District Conference and the National Black MBA Conference and is a certified instructor for the Speakers Training Camp™. Christy is the author of Faith to Conquer Fear: Inspiration to Achieve your Dreams and creator of the Annual “Faith to Conquer Fear” Conference. She is also the host of the “Sell your Message” radio show on BlogTalk radio.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Speech Communications and Radio, Television and Motion Pictures. She has a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Christy has spent the last 20 years working in Fortune 500 companies in Management, Sales, Category Management, and Logistics. She is a member of Toastmasters, eWomen Network, The Network of Executive Women and serves on the University of Cincinnati Cerebrovascular Community Advisory Board.

On a personal note, Christy has been married to James for 19 years and has 2 great kids and the sweetest dog in the world. She lives in Kentucky and is very active in her church.
